Corrected to state the toll consistently: at least 19 dead, according to the Kyiv Independent, with local officials' figures compiled by the Kyiv Post putting it at 20. Oil Slips as More Crude Moves Through the Strait of Hormuz

Russian Strikes Kill at Least 20 Across Ukraine on Putin's Birthday
Corrected to use one attributed death toll. An earlier version said “at least 19” in the headline and summary while the body cited a local tally of 20 and attributed the 19 figure to the Associated Press, which is not among the article's sources. The article now reports at least 20 dead, according to the Kyiv Post's tally of figures from Ukrainian authorities, updated at 2:06 p.m. Kyiv time on 7 October. The earlier figure of 15 deaths now cites the BBC report, and the Pryluky injury count was aligned with the sources (at least 50).

The Iran War's Next Shock May Land on the Dinner Table
Corrected to align with the sourced facts. An earlier version said the war had “effectively blocked” the Strait of Hormuz, citing a March report. Shipments through the strait are flowing and have expanded in recent weeks, with Middle East oil flows at about 80% of pre-conflict volumes, although attacks on vessels have increased (Bloomberg, 7 October; also reported in the same day's Commodities article). The urea price rise is now dated to March.
