Editorial Charter
Independence
The Zevin Intelligence Journal is published by Insightful Data Technologies and edited by Chanan Zevin, Chief Editor and Head of Desks. Decisions about what the journal covers and publishes are editorial decisions made under the Chief Editor.
Articles are published for information and research. Nothing in the journal is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and the journal does not recommend buying, selling or holding any asset.
How the desks work
The journal is organised into newspaper desks (Economics, Industries, Technology, AI, Politics, Geo-politics and Green), the Editorial, and a Financial Markets group (Bonds, Stocks, Commodities and Forex). Each daily edition carries the desks that have a sourced story for that day.
Desk articles report what happened, attribute facts to named sources and state when figures were last updated. Editorials, published under the byline Zevin Insight Editorial, argue one position, set out a counterargument and make practical recommendations, and are built on at least two dated sources.
Sourcing
Facts are attributed inline, newspaper-style: each article names the official, institution or outlet in the sentence (for example, “according to AP”). Every casualty, price or percentage figure carries a named attribution, and headline numbers match the body exactly.
Sources are dated public reports from named outlets and official bodies, retrieved and checked before drafting. Where sources disagree or report different times of day, the article says so, names the outlet and gives the time the figure refers to.
AI assistance and images
The journal uses AI tools to help research, draft and check articles from the cited sources. Articles go through automated publication checks (dates, sources, links and reader-facing language) before they are published under the Chief Editor.
Hero images generated with AI are illustrations, not photographs of the events described. They carry a visible “AI illustration” label on the image. Model forecasts are shown only when they have been validated, and are labelled as experimental.
Corrections policy
When a published article contains a factual error or an internal contradiction, the journal corrects the article, updates its modified date, adds a correction note to the article and records the change in the public corrections log.
Corrections are made from the same sources the article cites, or from newer reports from named outlets. The original publication time of the article is not changed.
