Consensus

Reuters cited consensus for Microsoft of $90.6 billion in revenue and adjusted EPS of $4.73, Amazon at $202 billion and EPS around $1.97, and Alphabet at $128 billion and EPS of $3.00. Results from Intel and Sandisk could also move the AI trade.

The mood

RTHK, citing AFP, said results from Tesla and Meta last week stoked spending worries. SPI Asset Management's Stephen Innes said investors 'want proof now' on whether the compute build-out is building a durable earnings machine.

Asia's chipmakers

SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics also report this week, Reuters said.
